Release

Dates are in order of release:

Behind the scenes

  • The episode title is a play on Crisis on Infinite Earths, a DC Comics 1980s crossover event in which the heroes of each universe within the DC multiverse came together to defeat a multiversal threat.
  • Cindy quotes the song "Dem Bones."
  • This is a special crossover with guest appearances of Cartoon Network characters who appeared in the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s:
    • Big Dog and Little Dog from 2 Stupid Dogs, although this was produced by Hanna-Barbera for TBS, and appeared as reruns on Cartoon Network.
    • Dexter, Dee Dee, Major Glory, Monkey, and Mandark from Dexter's Laboratory. Robo-Dexo 2000 also appears.
    • Johnny Bravo from Johnny Bravo.
    • Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup, Mojo, Ace, the Mayor, the Narrator, and Him from The Powerpuff Girls.
    • Courage and Muriel from Courage the Cowardly Dog.
    • Cow, Chicken, and Red Guy from Cow and Chicken.
    • I.R. Baboon from I Am Weasel.
    • Billy, Mandy, Grim, Harold, Fred Fredburger, and Hoss Delgado from The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy.
      • Hoss is wearing his Underfist uniform from the post-series special Underfist: Halloween Bash.
    • Hector and Baskov from Evil Con Carne.
    • Robot Jones from Whatever Happened to... Robot Jones?
    • Ed, Edd, Eddy, and Plank from Ed, Edd n Eddy.
    • Buck Tuddrussel and Larry 3000 from Time Squad.
    • Jack from Samurai Jack.
    • Numbuh 1, Numbuh 2, Numbuh 3, Numbuh 4, and Numbuh 5 from Codename: Kids Next Door.
    • Bloo, Wilt, Eduardo, Frankie, and Cheese from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.
    • Ben Tennyson, and Ben as Stinkfly, from Ben 10.
    • Lazlo and Raj from Camp Lazlo.
    • Jake Spidermonkey from My Gym Partner is a Monkey.
    • Rodney J. Squirrel from Squirrel Boy.
    • Chowder, Schnitzel, and Truffles from Chowder.
    • Flapjack and Captain K'nuckles from The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack.
    • Finn, Jake, Ice King, and Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time.
    • Mordecai and Rigby from Regular Show.
  • The time hole originally appeared in "Meet the Jetsons."
  • When Dee Dee has fun with Jabberjaw, she does the dance she learnt in the Dexter's Laboratory episode "Sister's Got a Brand New Bag."
  • Cindy says that the Powerpuff Girls are full of "venom, hate and everything not so great", which is in reference to the girls being created with "sugar, spice and everything nice".
  • Billy sleeps on top of a doghouse in a very similar way to Snoopy from the Peanuts comic strips.
  • The heroes coming through the portals to fight each other is reminiscent of the 2019 film Avengers: Endgame, in which Doctor Strange created portals for the heroes to come together to fight Thanos and his army.
  • 1998 Bubbles beating up the 2016 Bubbles was at the request of Powerpuff Girls creator Craig McCracken himself.[3]

Errors

  • Dexter's Computer is supposed to have a female voice.
  • The Red Guy was also depicted as being part of the Jellystone! universe in "Vote Raspberry."

Marketing and promotion

This episode, promoted as "Cartoon Network vs Jellystone!: Crisis on Infinite Mirths", was screened exclusively at the San Diego Comic-Con International 2024, which was followed by a panel with executive producer C.H. Greenblatt, supervising producer Maxwell Atoms, writer Jordan Morris, and voice actor Richard Horvitz, voice of Billy from The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy.[2]
