Cow is an anthropomorphic cow and one of the main characters of the Cow and Chicken animated television series. She is the sister of Chicken and a daughter of two human parents, known simply as Mom and Dad. She is voiced by Charlie Adler.
She also has a superhero alter ego named Super Cow, which she uses to get Chicken from all sorts of trouble.
Character description

Cow is often portrayed as a highly eccentric, innocent, and sweet-natured bovine. She is usually viewed (at least to chicken) as incredibly dim-witted, but is far from being incredibly stupid despite her naïvety, and she occasionally displays an array of uncanny talents. Although she looks up to to Chicken, thinking that he is cool and addresses him as a "big brother" through affection, it has been shown multiple times that she would not hesitate to partake in blackmail to get Chicken to do what she wants, due to her status as the younger sibling of the family. Cow's naïvety also makes her a target of the Red Guy and his devious schemes, although they don't last long due to Chicken resorting to rescue his sister on occasion.
Despite helping a hand in Chicken's impulsive needs, it is also proven that Cow has a heart of pure gold, as she always tries to get others to do the right thing. She is also noted to save Chicken on many occasions, as she often gets him out of whatever sorts of trouble he gets himself into, whether resorting to her alter ego or not; this is shown as a sign of Cow's affections to her brother.
As mentioned above, Cow's alter ego is Super Cow, who possesses abilities such as super strength and flight. Super Cow's powers lie in a green blanket and she wears a purple costume with a triangular logo that has an S. Inexplicably, Supercow also speaks Spanish; her catchphrase is "¡Supercow al rescate!" ("Supercow to the rescue!"), among other random phrases.

Development
Creator David Feiss brought the series to life after creating a bedtime story for his then-six-year-old daughter. The morning after, he remembered it and turned it into a 25-page children's book. When Hanna-Barbera called him for their 52-episode What a Cartoon! idea, he pitched them Cow and Chicken. The title characters started off as life-long friends with a romantic interest, but they were changed to siblings.[2]
A hundred people auditioned for the different parts, with Charlie Adler auditioning separately for Cow and Chicken. There was a "little pushback" from Cartoon Network who believed that each character should be played by a different actor, but Feiss reminded them of Mel Blanc.[2]
