Judy Jetson is one of the main characters of the Jetsons animated franchise. Her voice was originated by Janet Waldo.

Judy is the eldest child and only daughter of George & Jane. She and her family live in Orbit City in the distant year of 2062.

Character description

As the typical teenage girl of the family, Judy is boy crazy and always treats every new love interest as the first time she's fallen in love. She is also fond with rock stars and fashion, and loves to hang out with her friends from Orbit High School. Judy can usually be found staring at posters and listening to the radio in her room, but she does make time to encourage Elroy's inventions and help her mom out in shopping.

Main article: List of pop culture references to Jetsons
  • In the Full House episode "The First Day at School," Danny has bought a Jetsons lunch box for Stephanie's first day of kindergarten. She uses it again in "Joey's Place."
  • In the film American Boyfriends, Sandy gets bored with the news and channel hops to the beginning of The Jetsons theme song, with the family leaving Skypad Apartments.
  • In the Friends episode "The One with Two Parts: Part 1," Phoebe mentions to her friends how when she was eight years old, her twin sister, Ursula, threw her Judy Jetson thermos under a bus. In the next episode, "The One with Two Parts: Part 2," Ursula gifts Phoebe a Judy Jetson thermos on their birthday to make up for what she did.
  • In the George Lopez episode "Leave It to Lopez," George dreams that his family is the Jetsons living in the Orbit City. His daughter, Carmen, is naturally Judy.
  • In the Drawn Together episode "A Tale of Two Cows," Judy is killed by Live Action Cow alongside her family. Interestingly, Judy and her mom's color palette have been swapped.
  • Judy (along with her family) appears as a painting in Kanye West's animated music video for "Heartless."
  • In "Episode 18" (series 7) of the UK BBC One game show Pointless, the first round of questions that fell into the "Cartoon" category is Hanna-Barbera cartoon characters, with host Alexander Armstrong showing an image of several of them together. The contestants have to be able to pick out all the obscure characters that 100 anonymous public people had been able to guess. Gary picked Judy, possibly confusing her with Jane, therefore losing himself and his partner, Neil, 100 points, which is bad because the contestants win by scoring the lowest points in this game. Cohost Richard Osman later confirmed that Judy was the George and Jane's daughter and that she was the only Jetson not in the image.
  • In The Simpsons episode "My Fare Lady," there are two opening sequences, with the second being a parody of the opening sequence to The Jetsons, with Lisa, resembling Judy, is shot off to the visit the world's last tree and polar bear, being the precious little environmentalist that she is.
  • In the movie Steve Jobs, during Lisa's impassioned speech about how her father, Steve, put the iMac (now known as the iMac G3) over her, which for all his hard work, looks like Judy Jetson's Easy-Bake Oven.
  • In the Wander Over Yonder episode "The Cartoon," Dominator watches The Mystery Kids Mysteries, which has a parody of Mabel Pines called Mavis, who is dressed similarly to Judy, with her dog Soosy Du, a parody of Scooby-Doo, with an Elroy-esque hat and collars.
