Robin is the alter ego of Dick Grayson, a teenage superhero, acting as the sidekick and ward to Batman/Bruce Wayne, and one of the main characters of the Super Friends animated franchise, although he first appeared as a guest in The New Scooby-Doo Movies episode "The Dynamic Scooby-Doo Affair." His voice was originated by Casey Kasem. There was also a live-action version played by Burt Ward in the two-part special, Legends of the Superheroes.
In modern crossovers with Scooby-Doo comics published by DC Comics, Dick has reached adulthood and gone solo, having taken on the mantle of Nightwing, with new ward Tim Drake replacing him as Robin.

Behind the scenes
- When Hanna-Barbera was producing an animated series based on the The New Teen Titans comics in the 1980s, Robin would've been Nightwing. Plans fell through, of course, but Hanna-Barbera managed to produce an anti-drugs PSA sponsored by Keebler, who came into conflict with Nabisco, who had sole licensing rights in the use of Robin (even as Nightwing), forcing Hanna-Barbera to replace Nightwing/Robin with the Protector.
In popular culture
- In the "Real World: Metropolis" segment of the Robot Chicken episode "The Deep End," Batman finds Gleek electrocuting Robin through his nipples.
