Superfriends is an American animated superhero television series produced by Hanna-Barbera and DC Comics for ABC's Saturday morning line-up. Hanna-Barbera produced 22 episodes in total, but ABC cancelled the series after fourteen had aired from 1980 to 1981, with the remaininge eght episodes being withheld until they were picked up by the USA Network in 1995. It was the fifth Super Friends series after the original 1973 series of the same name.

The entire series has been released on DVD.

Music

The music was composed by Hoyt Curtin, credited as musical director, with musical supervision from Paul DeKorte.

Home media

In releasing the series on DVD, Warner Home Video began with the third and last with the two-disc set Super Friends: The Lost Episodes on August 11, 2009. They then went back and released the first season as the one-disc set A Dangerous Fate on July 23, 2013, and then the second season as another one-disc set as The Legacy of Super Powers on October 13, 2013.

On September 10, 2024, Warner Home Video included the season on the 21-disc DVD set of Super Friends!: The Complete Collection, and in an upscaled 1080p version on a sixteen-disc Blu-ray set of the same name.
