"Knock It Off" is the tenth episode of The Powerpuff Girls season four, and the eighty-fourth episode overall. It aired on July 12, 2002 on Cartoon Network. It was written by Charlie Bean and Chris Mitchell, directed by Robert Alvarez, and series creator, Craig McCracken, and voice directed by Collette Sunderman.

Detailed summary

Memorable quotes

Professor Utonium: The city of Townsville? It's about fifteen miles east of the 101. Take the 210 to the harbor freeway exit south. It's the third house on the left.

Bubbles: What happened to Professor Dick and the other Powerpuff Girls?
Professor Utonium: Well, old Dick may have gotten the formula right, but the one ingredient that he forgot is love. Let's go home, girls.

Narrator: I guess the love you make is equal to the love you take. So, once again, the day is saved, thanks to the original bonafide Powerpuff Girls. Accept no substitutes.

Release

Dates are in order of release:

  • United States: June 28, 2002 on Cartoon Network

Behind the scenes

  • Professor Utonium says "The City of Townsville" line, instead of the Narrator.
  • Dick's vanity plate reads "PROF-DIK" and is dated June 2001.
  • The Townsville Tribune reports that the Mayor is in a scandal.
  • The monster about to stub his toe resembles Wally Gator from the Wally Gator shorts, although it's unclear if it's actually supposed to be him. Incidentally, an original Wally Gator short "Gosh Zilla," Wally became Godzilla-sized.
  • The Buttercup clone who says "I think they're asking for a hiney-whooping!" is a callback to a moment in "The Rowdyruff Boys", in which the real Buttercup utters the same phrase.
  • Professor Utonium is credited as "Professor."

Errors

  • Africa is misspelled "Afrioa."
