Germany (German: Deutschland), also known as the Federal Republic of Germany (French: Bundesrepublik Deutschland), is a country located in Central Europe. It is located between the Baltic and North Sea to the north and the Alps to the south. It has a population of roughly 84 million and has 16 constituent states. Berlin is the capital and largest city of the nation; Its main financial centre is Frankfurt and the largest urban area is the Ruhr.
As of 2023, the country holds a record of having the largest economy in Europe. It is also a member of the United Nations, Council of Europe, NATO and OECD.
