Behind the scenes
- When Bubbles mistakingly calls Mr. Cooper "Mr. Looper," this is a reference to a recurring joke in Sesame Street when Big Bird would mispronounce Mr. Hooper's name.
- The citizens crying, "Look! Up in the sky! It's a missile! It's a bomb! It's a death ray! It's the girls!" is a paraphrase of "Look! Up in the Sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Superman!"; which was famously used in the opening to the 1940s Superman animated shorts, and the 1950s Adventures of Superman TV series.
- The near death impact the girls make in the crater followed by the morning citizens mirrors the cause of death of Superman in his fight against Doomsday in DC Comics' Superman #75 in The Death of Superman crossover event.
- Ms. Bellum's face is partially seen when she cries with her hands in her face.
Errors
- When the citizens are crying, the Mayor's coat takes over his entire body making him appear taller than he really is.
Legacy
- Him resurrects the Rowdyruff Boys in "The Boys Are Back in Town."
