Melvin Jerome "Mel" Blanc was an American voice actor. For Hanna-Barbera, he was best known as the voice of Barney Rubble, Dino, Mr. Spacely, Secret Squirrel, Speed Buggy, and Captain Caveman!

Blanc died on July 10, 1989, at the age of 81. Jetsons: The Movie, one of his last roles, was dedicated to him.
