The New Fred and Barney Show is an American animated comedy television series produced by Hanna-Barbera for NBC. It ran in 1979, airing 18 episodes that spanned two seasons; the second season episodes were packaged with The Thing to be released under the banner of Fred and Barney Meet the Thing. It is a spin-off of The Flintstones, and the fourth incarnation of the Flintstones franchise.

This new incarnation was close to the original series with Fred dealing with the daily issues of his family and job, with his best friend and next-door neighbor, Barney. What made it different was the addition of horror elements with supernatural elements such as the appearances of witches, werewolves, and the stone age version of Count Dracula called Count Rockula.
