Droop-a-long Coyote is an anthropomorphic coyote and one of the main title characters in the Ricochet Rabbit & Droop-a-long animated television shorts. He is voiced by Mel Blanc.
He serves as Ricochet Rabbit's sidekick, but unlike Ricochet, he acts slow-witted and clumsy.
Character description
Droop-a-Long is a tall and slender anthropomorphic coyote with pink fur; tan highlights on his hands, feet, muzzle and inner ears, a black nose; and a thick, fluffy tail. His set of clothes consists of a large green gallon hat with a black center band, which distinctly obscures his eyes; a white bandana; a gold deputy badge with five points; and a brown belt with a holster.
He works at Hoop 'n' Holler, and serves as a deputy for Ricochet Rabbit. Unlike Ricochet, who acts hyperactive and fast in his movements, Droop-a-long is incredibly slow paced. He is also shown to be very unintelligent, unable to do simple tasks at a base level, and highly prone to many accidents. A recurring gag is that he would imitate Ricochet's famous "ping-ping-ping" sound and fail at it, resulting in him crashing through a window or a similar accident.
Droop-a-Long's hand revolver, his weapon of choice, has a tendency to shoot bullets at a slow pace and becomes loose when being fired upon.
