"Laff-a-Munich" is a segment of the Robot Chicken season two episode "Ban on the Fun." It is a parody of the Laff-a-Lympics TV series mashed up with Munich-styled themes. The episode first aired on October 28, 2007 on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block.

A massacre breaks out when teammates of the Really Rottens take the Yogi Yahooeys hostage and murder them, causing the Scooby's to track down the Rottens individually and murder them.

Behind the scenes

  • Munich, West Germany hosted the Summer Olympics in 1972, five years before Laff-a-Lympics, itself a parody of Olympics in general, debuted in 1977.
  • Matthew Lillard is reprising his role as Shaggy from the live-action movies Scooby-Doo and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. He and Seth Green co-starred in the latter.

Errors

  • Dinky Dalton is shown to have three fingers in this parody, but in the actual cartoon, he has four fingers on each hand.
  • The Really Rottens always losing isn't exactly true since they did manage to win a few times in the cartoon.
  • Huckleberry is shown to be wearing his hat, however in the cartoon itself, he never actually wore it, unless you count the Scooby's All-Star Laff-a-Lympics intro. This is most likely because the figure they chose for his head had the hat sculpted on.
  • Scrappy never actually appeared in the Laff-a-Lympics cartoon, since it was made before he was thought of.
