"Gilligan" is the second episode of Space Ghost Coast to Coast season one. It aired on April 22, 1994 on Cartoon Network. It was written by Matthew Maiellaro, Andy Merrill, Khaki Jones, and Keith Crofford.

Space Ghost is disappointed when he finds out Gilligan's Island wasn't real when interviewing three of the stars, Bob Denver, Dawn Wells, and Russell Johnson (who are all promoting their new books). It is also revealed that Zorak once had a guest spot on the show.

Behind the scenes

  • Zorak is inserted into the Gilligan's Island episode "The Producer," and The Courtship of Eddie's Father episode "A Night Out for the Boys." The latter is with Bill Bixby.
  • The Screen Locusts Guild is a parody of the Screen Actors Guild.
  • Harlem Globetrotters meeting the cast of Gilligan's Island wasn't a regular episode, but a TV movie called The Harlem Globetrotters on Gilligan's Island.
  • Russell asks Space Ghost if he's related to Beavis or Butt-Head, the duo of the MTV cartoon Beavis and Butt-Head.

  • At the beginning of Space Ghost's interview with Bill Carter in "Elevator," Carter's head is replaced with Bob Denver's.
  • In "Freak Show," Commander Andy copies Russell by calling Space Ghost "Space Man" and "Space Master."
