Behind the scenes
- Doctor Cutler has been modified from the Captain Cutler character in the Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! episode "A Clue for Scooby-Doo." The title of doctor was supposed to be one of many different titles Captain Cutler would use in a recurring joke, although this didn't play out as originally conceived.
- Special thanks are given to Joe Ruby and Ken Spears, who had nothing to do with this episode, but did create the original series, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!
Errors
- Doctor Cutler is credited as Captain Cutler, although given that the "doctor" part of his name was part of an unrealized recurring joke, it may not have been a mistake after all.
Legacy
- Captain Cutler had a cameo as the jury on Fred's trial in "The People vs. Fred Jones," and a much larger role in "The Curse of Half-Beard's Booty."
- Chuck is also on the same jury in "The People vs. Fred Jones."
- A child dresses up as a Zatari warrior for Halloween in the Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! episode "Halloween."
