Tom and Jerry: The Magic Ring is an American animated supernatural slapstick direct-to-video film based on the Tom and Jerry theatrical shorts directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera at MGM. It was released by Warner Home Video through the Warner Bros. Family Entertainment label on March 12, 2002. It was written by husband-wife team, Tim Cahill and Julie McNally, and directed by James Tim Walker. While there had already been a one-time animated theatrical film, this is the first film to be made specifically for the home video market.
When Jerry gets a magic ring stuck on his head belonging to Tom's wizard owner, the cat must chase the mouse through the city to get it back. Along the way, the ring makes Jerry highly sought after.
