Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated is an American-British animated supernatural comedy television series created by Tony Cervone, Spike Brandt, and Mitch Watson. It was produced by Warner Bros. Animation for Cartoon Network. It ran from 2010 to 2013, airing 52 episodes that spanned two seasons. It is the eleventh Scooby-Doo series after Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!
More mature than other Scooby-Doo series, Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated tells the tale of Mystery Incorporated unraveling a 20-year-old mystery involving the disappearances of teenagers much like themselves. The closer they get to discovering what led to their disappearances, the more dangerous the investigation becomes, as solving this mystery isn't about exposing the shady dealings of a real estate agent, but a supernatural presence hidden beneath their hometown of Crystal Cove long ago.
Production
Development
The series may never have been given a chance if it weren't for the fact that Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network weren't able to secure the rights with Amblin in developing a cartoon series based on the 1985 film The Goonies from which Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated is a retooling of.
Music
The theme song was written and performed by Matthew Sweet. The music was composed by Robert J. Kral, and was edited by Christine Luethje.
