The Tom and Jerry Show is an American animated slapstick comedy television series produced by Warner Bros. Animation and Renegade Animation for Cartoon Network, although it was handed over to the Boomerang SVOD halfway through, and then even that was too hard to keep up with, so it ended up being handed over yet again to Cartoon Network Video. It ran from 2014 to 2021, airing 117 episodes that spanned five seasons. It is the fifth Tom and Jerry series after the first series to also be called The Tom & Jerry Show.

In this modern adaptation of the MGM Tom and Jerry theatrical shorts, there are several settings Tom and Jerry are put in to keep things interesting, such as a regular suburban one, Tom and Jerry as detectives, Tom is owned by two witches, one where Jerry is a lab rat, Tom is owned by a Transylvanian couple in a Van Helsing-type world, and one where Tom works in a Downton Abbey-style house.

Music

The theme song was composed by Andy Sturmer, adapted from Scott Bradley's composition from the original aforementioned MGM theatrical shorts. The main music has been composed by Vivek Maddala and Dan Blessinger, and Steve Morrell.

Legacy

The Tom and Jerry Show was replaced with Tom and Jerry in New York just five months later. Although not necessarily in the same continuity, the animation was identical since this series was also produced by Renegade Animation and directed by Darrel Van Citters.

The same goes for the 2022 direct-to-video films Tom and Jerry: Cowboy Up! and Tom and Jerry: Snowman's Land.
