Behind the scenes
- Freedom Girl is Wonder Woman with shades of Captain America with Batman's Batmobile thrown in.
- The logo on the Freedom Girl comic Blossom is holding resembles the DC Comics logo.
- Spore is Spawn with a touch of the Punisher. Its creator, Old MacDonald, is an allusion to Spawn's creator, Todd MacFarlane.
- Funny Bunny is a parody of Japanese kodomomuke (which translates to "intended for children") and Hello Kitty.
- Larry Huber, the writer of Dr. Atom Magnum, M.D. Ph.D., Wizard, is named after a Hanna-Barbera producer. Another person mentioned is Stan Hee, a reference to Stan Lee, former writer and publisher of Marvel Comics.
- The Mayor owns a Jigglypuff-looking watch from the video game and anime series Pokémon, which mostly looks like her, except it doesn't have her ears.
- The flashback of the monster is actually the same monster from "Bubblevicious."
