Biography
Josie-lite
In Space
Scooby Meets the Pussycats
Josie Sells Out
In the Teen Titans Go! episode "Cartoon Feud," Control Freak hijacks the Teen Titans' TV and displays photos of Jonny Quest, Josie and the Pussycats (specifically of Josie, Melody, and Valerie), and Scooby-Doo, which he views as something classic the viewers at home would rather watch on Cartoon Network, but can't because the schedule is always lined up with Teen Titans Go!
Development
Judy Waithe was originally cast but replaced before the series would make its debut, as her readings of the Josie and the Pussycats-hosted In the Know interstitials were not to the CBS Network's liking.[1]

Behind the scenes
- Josie is an Archie Comics character created by cartoonist Dan DeCarlo. She made her first appearance on Archie's Pals 'n' Gals #23 in 1962. She was named after DeCarlo's wife, Josie DeCarlo.
- In the unrelated comics she appeared in, her full name is Josie McCoy. Her surname alternated between "Jones" or "James" until it settled on "McCoy" after that was used in the 2001 live-action film.
- Josie and the Pussycats appeared in Craig Titley's 1996 draft in what eventually morphed into Scooby-Doo in 2002.
In popular culture
- In the Drawn Together episode "Foxxy vs the Board of Education," Josie is one of the characters seen when Foxxy watches other mystery solving detectives. This is a jab at Foxxy being a parody of Valerie.
- Josie finally returned to Earth in The Bleepin' RC Archie Comics Special.
