Behind the scenes
- The episode serves as both a parody and homage to animator Jay Ward, with the story told in form of his animated shows. The puns, lack of music, and cliffhanger are meant to be callbacks to The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends, Ward's most popular creation.
- Madame Argentina and Fred were designed in a style typical of Ward's cartoons, and have a similar role inspired by Boris Badenov and Natasha Fatale.
- Argentina was voiced by June Foray, who previously did the original voices for Rocky the Flying Squirrel and Natasha.
- The jail warden is named "Jay Warden" and has a slight resemblance to Ward. He also wears an outfit resembling the mascot character of Quaker Oats' Cap'n Crunch cereal, whose initial line of television commercials were made by Jay Ward Productions.
- eBay is actually mentioned whereas it's usually been the parody site Obey that has been seen.
Errors
- The booth says "Voo Doo Vic's," but the voice credits say "Voodooric."
