Detailed summary
Memorable quotes
Narrator: The city of Townsville; the picture of an average American town. Mom's hot apple pie... White picket fences... And baseball. Oh, yes. Typically American in every way. Only one thing that sets Townsville apart from the rest of America. Or should I say three things?
Narrator: Oh, no! Bernie Bernstein, a fraud?! And I was promised a part in that movie! Well, Professor, what are you going to do?
Narrator: Oh, brother. So, once again, I guess the day is saved thanks to the smart guy in the dress. Ugh. He looks just like my mom.

Behind the scenes
- The Powerpuff Girls having their own movie is an in-joke for The Powerpuff Girls Movie that would happen in real life a year later.
- Tom Kenny's Bernie voice is an imitation of the actor Phil Silvers.
- Bubbles talks about meeting "Leo" at the girls' movie premiere, as in Leonardo DiCaprio.
- Bernie refers to "Mr. S," which is a reference to director Steven Speilberg.
- Unlike other episodes, Chuck McCann isn't the voice of any of the Amoeba Boys due to them only appearing as background cameos, having filler voices that appear to come from Tom Kenny.
- Ace also talks, but it is also unclear if he is voiced by Jeff Glenn Bennett for the same reason, even though he is in the episode.
- Only two out of the five Gangreen Gang are in this episode.
- Donnie wears an "E.T." cap, in reference to the 1982 film E.T. the Extra-Terrestial.
- Professor Utonium's crossdressing disguise is a reference to Michael Dorsey's female alter ego, Dorothy Michaels, in the 1982 film Tootsie.
Errors
- The narrator calls Townsville a city and town in the same sentence.
- The Mayor responds back to Bernie about using the Townsville Bank, but there were two banks in the episode.
- Tom Kenny is credited for playing a vendor.
