Behind the scenes

  • The episode title is a play on the 1997 song "Bitter Sweet Symphony" by The Verve. However, the title card uses the spelling "Blisstersweet" as that is how "Bittersweet" is spelled.
  • The Powerpuff Girls acquired their aura powers in "Power Up Puff."
  • Townsville Hall being turned into a pickle baby is a reference to the Mayor's love of pickles and his immaturity.

Errors

Marketing and promotion

Bliss was first teased by Cartoon Network through Twitter on September 6, 2017, which featured Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles around Bliss who was in a silhouette with purple and cyan colored features with the caption "Meet the Fourth Powerpuff Girl!"[4]

She was on a display stand with her sisters at the MCM London Comic Con on October 27.[5]
