Behind the scenes

  • Bubbles says that her mayor sense is tingling while dressed as the Mayor, which is a reference to the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man's spider-sense would tingle.
  • The chase through the hallway doors is a parody of chases like those in Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, with a Harlem Globetrotters-like basketball team running past for some, and to cap it off, the Mayor even says Shaggy's catchphrase, "like, Zoinks," while passing the screen inside a pink van reminiscent of The Mystery Machine.
