Spook is an anthropomorphic cat and a main character in the Top Cat animated television series. His voice was originated by Leo De Lyon.
A member of Top Cat's gang, he mostly follows orders from his lead and has a hip, beatnik personality.
Character description
Spook is a cat whose fur color varies on which media he appears in. In most media, Spook has a dark, greenish-brown fur coat, whereas in comics and merchandise, he instead has a bright green coat. He has a round face and has peach muzzle. Spook's only piece of clothing is a black tie with a slightly worn-off tip.
Although a gang member, Spook is free-spirited and has a sweet demeanour compared to the conniving and slick attitude of his leader Top Cat. The vernacular in which he speaks resembles that of a stereotypical beatnik, with slang evocative of the 1950s to early 1960s. Unlike the rest of the T.C.'s gang, Spook rarely acts drastically accordingly, and is somewhat stoic to any situation. Additionally, he also has an affinity for dance and music, as he is rather fond of activities involving the two.
In the series Jellystone!, Spook is a silent girl named Spooky, and has lime-green fur. Unlike her original counterpart, she is the weird and brainless member of the gang, keeping a straight face at all times.
