Speed Buggy is the talking car mascot of the Speed Buggs and the main title character of the Speed Buggy animated television series. His voice was originated by Mel Blanc.

In DC Comics' reboot, he came to life after a regular dune buggy was merged with Doctor Blanc.

In "Face of the Town!," Tinker wants to join the town race. Unfortunately, Speed Buggy behaves like a disobedient dog and instead chooses to lick a tree instead of racing.

• In the Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures episode "Don't Touch That Dial," Ring-a-Ding and his friend Scuzzy, parodies of Scooby-Doo and Shaggy, drove around in an orange buggy.
• In the Futurama episode "Law and Oracle," Fry excels in police law enforcement, with his bust ups making it possible for him to become a detective soon, which makes him happy because then he'll get to be Sherlock Holmes or Speed Buggy. Later, when catching Pickles, he sets up a charade based on an episode of Speed Buggy.
