"Jane's Driving Lesson" is the nineteenth episode of The Jetsons season one. It aired on January 27, 1963 on ABC. It was written by Barry E. Blitzer, and produced and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the creators of the series and the founders of Hanna-Barbera Productions.

George is enrolled in the space guard reserves, where his superiors are his boss, Spacely, and the conniving Uniblab.

When The Jetsons originally aired, no title cards were present. They were only added when the series was revived in the 1980s, and the original episodes were given title cards for consistency. Notably, they all include Orbitty, who wasn't in the original series.

Behind the scenes

  • George dealt with Uniblab in the episode, "Uniblab." Both episodes also have Henry Orbit, where he helps George tamper with Uniblab to get even; this time he seems to have blown up (off-screen).
    • Uniblab, however, returns in season two, still getting George to gamble at Spacely Sprockets, but in a smaller capacity and a lot more tamer.

Errors

  • The judge says George slammed into his car, but the car resembles the one Jane was driving from the Aero-Space Driving School.
  • Both the officers in the car following Jane refer to each as O'Jetski.
