It was written by Walter Black and Bill Hamilton, and produced and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the founders of Hanna-Barbera Productions.

Gold Key Comics published an adaptation in a one-shot Space Ghost comic in December 1966. Zorak and his minions, however, were radically altered.
