HD restored version of Wacky Races on MeTV Toons

Hey everyone, check out the HD restored version of Wacky Races opening and closing titles which was shown on MeTV Toons in the USA: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a92gwvParhQ

The 1968 H-B "Zooming H-B" logo is also been restored to the HD remaster thereof as well.

What are your thoughts about it? I wonder if The Perils of Penelope Pitstop would also be in HD when it is shown on MeTV Toons later that year? --Michael (talk) 03:28, 26 June 2024 (UTC)

Holy Moly, it looks pretty decent alright. I'm not much of an expert when it comes to different prints for films and television shows, but it certainly looks better than how it looked on DVD. -- QuestJ65 (talk) 19:21, 26 June 2024 (UTC)
Yeah, it does look more decent in quality than the DVD release. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 18:23, 29 June 2024 (UTC)

Scooby-Doo on MeTV Toons

Hey Snoopy and QuestJ65, Scooby-Doo is on MeTV Toons and there are some shows according to this: https://metvtoons.com/shows/scooby-doo

Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get A Clue! and Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated on MeTV Toons? WTF!?

Surely, The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo on MeTV Toons would be a better choice instead of those two shows IMO.

What are your thoughts about this anyway? --Michael (talk) 17:44, 3 July 2024 (UTC)

They're odd choices indeed, they probably just got them mixed up. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 20:10, 3 July 2024 (UTC)

House of Hanna-Barbera

Hey everyone. Just now, the YouTube channel for MeTV Toons had uploaded a promo for selection of classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons, namely those of the 1960s. Starting from January 17th (or the 16th according to the video), they will air under the umbrella title of House of Hanna-Barbera and consist of the following series that I identified:

So far, segments from The Yogi Bear Show (including the titular segment, Yakky Doodle and Snagglepuss) currently air on Boomerang's cable schedule as of February 2025, but this is the first time that some of these have aired on a U.S. network in years. What really surprised me was that the vast majority of these shows seem to have high definition prints of each one, particularly Touché Turtle and Dum Dum (which currently doesn't have a home media release and whose footage I could only find were old recordings from Boomerang). I'm somewhat glad that they have appeared on a free television network since... I dunno, the 1980s, but since I grew up at a much younger generation, I may seem to be a bit more inclined to other methods besides TV. Plus I'm more partial to Looney Tunes, so what did I care about some of the lesser known cartoons from this selection?

(I don't mean no offense to both Yogi and Huck. They were definitely the goats of their respective shows)

Guess the only thing missing may have been all the segments for The Quick Draw McGraw Show. Might've been something to do with issues with the music rights, but we'll see where this goes.

Any thoughts of this so far? -- QuestJ65 (talk) 06:10, 17 February 2025 (UTC)

I think it's great that they've gone back to the early Boomerang era where they were fully in love with doing this. I think we should definitely have a page. -- -- Signed by James (talk) 10:04, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
