Behind the scenes
In popular culture
- In part four of Funny or Die's short form series Captain Planet with Don Cheadle, Ma-Ti attempts to kill Captain Planet with a knife to the back, after Captain Planet turns his friends and all live on the planet into trees. As payback, Captain Planet raises his arm up to turn him into a tree, but stops when Ma-Ti begins an impassionate speech about "El Capitan" taking away the Planeteers, his family, and "that monkey," but he can't take away his heart. This gives Captain Planet the idea to rip his heart out.
