Behind the scenes
- This is the first episode of a Scooby-Doo series to have the episode title card at the end, which was a trend at the time with other Warner Bros. Animation-produced series.
- This is the first time Scott Menville voices Shaggy, replacing Casey Kasem, who took a back seat for this series, voicing Doctor Albert Shaggleford, instead.
- The calendar in Shaggy's house says the month is January.
- When Agent 1 orders Agent 2 to "break down the door", he stars break dancing in the same manner as MC Hammer did when he said "Hammer time" in the music video to his song "You Can't Touch This."
