Behind the scenes
- This episode title doesn't go by the conventional standards of calling itself "Professor Huh? Part 2," because "Professor Huh? Part 6 3/4" is a reference to the way Professor Huh? thinks.
- The opening of the episode features the Poodle Justice commercial first shown in "Poodle Justice."
- Fred has upgraded the Mystery Machine's flight capabilities since "In Space;" he even continues the recurring joke from that episode in which he ends the sentence dramatically with "In space."
- When Rose thinks Fred has died, she says, "Goodbye, Detective Boring Frog," which is a reference to when she mockingly said that instead of Bjornar Krag, who Fred was dressed as once for a Halloween when they were kids in "Halloween."
- To disguise themselves from the police, the gang dresses up as Gypsy Moths fans, an allusion to "Grand Scam."
- Daphne's beef with sea animals is a callback to "All Paws on Deck."
- The other jet mode of the Mystery Machine was first used in "Giant Problems."
- Rose is mad at Fred for beating him to cases that happened in "Mystery 101," "Party Like It's 1899," and "El Bandito," respectively.
- Rose was revealed to have set Fred up in "The People vs. Fred Jones," and sabotaged the Mystery Machine in "Ghost of the Mystery Machine."
- Fred says goodbye to Professor Huh? with his hand puppet from "Mystery 101."
- Fred's house, including his mailbox, is in the exact same colors as the Mystery Machine.
- A special thanks is given to Joe Ruby and Ken Spears, who had nothing to do with this episode, but did create the original series, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!
