Behind the scenes

  • This episode was made for Cartoon Network's 20th anniversary.
  • Dee Dee being a villain may be a reference to the Dexter's Laboratory episode "Comic Relief," where Dee Dee became a comic book villain named Deestructa.
    • It's also ironic considering Dee Dee was never evil in the original show, just annoying to her brother Dexter.
  • The repeating Os in the title card is a reference to the opening title card for the Looney Tunes theatrical cartoons. However, no Looney Tunes characters appear in this short despite the fact that Cartoon Network started off with only airing reruns of old Hanna-Barbera and Warner Bros. cartoons.

Errors

  • Dexter's gloves are orange.
  • Dee Dee's ears are missing.
  • Why would Dee Dee cancel her own show?
