Detailed summary
Memorable quotes
The Mayor: Majorie Wilson--Where's Majorie Wilson? I KNEW IT! Only an evil mind such as hers could do such a diabolical thing!
Majorie: I'm right here, Mayor!
The Mayor: Oh, is that you, Marge? How's every little thing?
Narrator: Well, it looks like this criminal has been collected and put into his very own box--a box that won't be opened for a long, long time. And so, for the very first time, the day is saved, thanks to the citizens of Townsville! Collect them all.

Production
Development
According to creator Craig McCracken, the crew didn't want to use actual Powerpuff Girls merchandise in the episode because they thought it would be a commercial for the products. They ended up creating more obscure merch such as golf clubs and waffle makers for the episode; the last one of which, ironically, became a real product.[1]
Filming
It was copyrighted in 1999.
Music
The main title theme and music were composed by James L. Venanbe, Thomas Chase, and Steve Rucker. The end title song was performed by Bis. The music was edited by Glenwood Editorial.

Behind the scenes
- The episode title is a pun on "Collector." Get it?
- A lot of the Powerpuff merchandise uses the logo of the series when it was part of What a Cartoon!
- When the Mayor is taking a "roll call" of Townsville's citizens to try and determine by process of elimination who is missing (and therefore, the girls' abductor), one of the names he calls is "Genndy McCracken," a combination of the first name of the show's animation director (Genndy Tartakovsky) and the last name if its creator (Craig McCracken).
- Ms. Bellum only appears in silhouette form.
- Lenny can be seen in the series' opening despite only having one major appearance.
Errors
- When Buttercup sees the toys of herself in Lenny's apartment, her name is spelled "Butter Cup."
- Bubbles claims that she is a vegetarian but she is shown eating meat in other episodes such as "Child Fearing", where she gave a taste to Mojo Jojo's shrimp.
- How did Lenny get toy boxes strong enough to hold the girls?
