Harvey Birdman: Attorney General is a 2018 television special based on the Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law TV series, which ran from 2000-2007. It aired on October 15, 2018 on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block. It was written by Michael Ouweleen and Erik Richter, and directed by Richard Ferguson-Hull. The main reason behind this special is to ridicule the concurrent American infamous presidency of Donald Trump.

The presumed deceased Harvey is back and living a new life of leisure from the hard work of being both attorney and superhero. But when his old boss, Phil, has suddenly become the most powerful man in the free world, he in turn becomes the Attorney General to take him down before he can cause any real harm to the country.

The main music is composed by Michael Kohler, while the opening theme was done by Reg Tisley, while Erik Richter sang the lyrics.

It premiered on the Adult Swim website on October 12, 2018, before airing on TV on October 15.

Behind the scenes

• Deidre is a parody of Amazon's Echo.
• The inaugurpeachment invitation gives Phil's full name as Philippian Kenneth Sebben.
• When Mentok said he "swooped" in to save Harvey, a photo shows him dressed like Mary Poppins.
• Despite clearly having a prominent role, Colbert isn't credited with starring role like in the series, but as a special guest star.
• 1964 and roughly 1978 are given the birth dates for Potamus and Birdgirl.

Errors

• Birdgirl is still trying to hide her identity from her father, despite the fact he found out in "The Death of Harvey".
• Reducto's resurrection is unexplained.
