Behind the scenes
- The Munich massacre occurred in 1972, five years before Laff-A-Lympics debuted in 1977.
- Matthew Lillard is reprising his role as Shaggy from the live-action movies Scooby-Doo and Scooby-Doo 2: Monters Unleashed. He and Seth Green costarred in the latter.
Errors
- Dinky Dalton is shown to have three fingers in this parody, but in the actual cartoon, he has four fingers on each hand.
- The Really Rottens always losing isn't exactly true since they did manage to win a few times in the cartoon.
- Huckleberry is shown to be wearing his hat, however in the cartoon itself, he never actually wore it, unless you count the Scooby's All Star Laff-A-Lympics intro. This is most likely because the figure they chose for his head had the hat sculpted on.
- Scrappy never actually appeared in the Laff-A-Lympics cartoon, since it was made before he was thought of.
