Russell David Johnson was an American actor. He was best known for playing Professor Roy Hinkley in the CBS sitcom Gilligan's Island, which aired from 1964 to 1967.

Johnson was interviewed by Space Ghost in the Space Ghost Coast to Coast episode "Spanish Translation." In the episode, he called Space Ghost "Space Man" and "Space Master," which was used adopted by other characters in "Freak Show" and "Surprise." A clip was reused in "Girlie Show" and "$20.01."

Johnson died from kidney failure on January 16, 2014, at the age of 89.
