Tom and Tubb are a pair of young brothers who are the protagonists of the Moby Dick animated television segments. Their voices were originated by Bobby Resnick and Barry Balkin, respectively.
They were orphaned after a typhoon killed their families. The great white whale, Moby Dick, came to their rescue, and they've been friends ever since.
Character description
They are aquatic adventurers who were left orphaned after a typhoon. They are good friends with Moby Dick and their pet seal, Scooby, and have a strong sense of justice against evildoers in the deep. Tom has brown hair, and Tubb is blonde, has freckles, and is tubby, hence his name.

When Mystery Incorporated need expert advice deepsea diving, Daphne Blake calls on Tom and Tubb, who she has babysat in the past. hey both know a lot about the ocean, and they are very skilled when it comes to electronics, as they alone built their own working, high-tech submarine (in this series, Moby-Dick is the name of their submarine). They're confident swimmers. The SDMI Tom and Tubb are the sons of famous marine biologists Doctor Paul Williams and Captain Michael Murphy, who appeared in Sealab 2020.[2]
Everyone's Back in Jellystone!

Tom and Tubb appear as a young adults in Jellystone! season 2. In this continuity, they have German accents, and after travelling beneath the sea with Moby Dick and Scooby as per usual, they hit puberty, but in this version, Scooby is female, and yet despite still being a seal, they both feel in love with her. Tom, however, got to Scooby first, with Tubb leaving and finding himself washed up on the beach of Jellystone, and found by Huckleberry Hound.[3]
They later reunite on Sealab, where Tom and Scooby plan to get married. After they deal with their past, they bury the hatchet, and Tom and Scooby are married by Captain Mike Murphy.[3]
