Tom and Tubb are a pair of young brothers who are the protagonists of the Moby Dick animated television segments. Their voices were originated by Bobby Resnick and Barry Balkin, respectively.

They were orphaned after a typhoon killed their families. The great white whale, Moby Dick, came to their rescue, and they've been friends ever since.

Character description

They are aquatic adventurers who were left orphaned after a typhoon. They are good friends with Moby Dick and their pet seal, Scooby, and have a strong sense of justice against evildoers in the deep. Tom has brown hair, and Tubb is blonde, has freckles, and is tubby, hence his name.

Debut Series

Tubb Sells Out

Tubb appeared in the Sealab 2021 episode "Waking Quinn," as a child actor named Chubby Cox.

Mystery Incorporated

Tom and Tubb appear in the episode "The Midnight Zone." They both know a lot about the ocean, and they are very skilled when it comes to electronics, as they alone built their own working, high-tech submarine (in this series, Moby-Dick is the name of the submarine). They're confident swimmers. At one point, they were babysat by Daphne Blake, who they consider their favorite babysitter. The SDMI Tom and Tubb are the sons of famous marine biologists Doctor Paul Williams and Captain Michael Murphy, who appeared in Sealab 2020.

Everyone's Back in Jellystone!

Tubb appears as an adult in Jellystone!, without Tom. In this continuity, he has a German accent, and is suddenly everywhere in the second season.
