  • The background of the series title card is in the form of a brick wall that crumbles in reference to the brick wall hiding Dr. Perdue's lab.
  • Velma has a poster in her room of Crystal Cove Fog Fest 2006.
  • William calls Fred Frederick when he forbids him from letting Velma in the limo.
  • General Meeting's hatred of "meddling kids" in the 1970s is a reference to the term used by the villains for Mystery Incorporated in the Scooby-Doo franchise.
