"The Backyard Jungle" is the third episode of Micro Ventures season one, and came as part of The Banana Splits Adventure Hour. It aired on December 7, 1968 on NBC. It was produced and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the founders of Hanna-Barbera Productions.

The family reduces in size to explore the hidden depths of their own garden to help Jill study for her entomology class.
