"Exploring an Ant Colony" is the fourth episode of Micro Ventures season one, as well as the final overall, and came as part of The Banana Splits Adventure Hour. It aired on December 21, 1968 on NBC. It was produced and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the founders of Hanna-Barbera Productions.

As the title suggests, Professor Carter shrinks his family down to size to explore an ant colony. Professor Carter's great logic in this parental choice gets his daughter caught by an Amazon ant.
