Talk:Scooby-Doo (character)
LaL pictures
Are Scooby and Shaggy's LaL pictures entirely necessary? -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 10:06, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
- Honestly, I'm not sure. I would say no because it's simply an addition of a vest and they'll already have enough variations as it is. Whereas the likes of the Teen Angels and Dynomutt and Blue Falcon will only have a few in comparison, but if you considered LaL its own independent universe, then it should be given its own place. If we do decide on LaL, then I'd have to add another row to the infobox, because I think Scooby's is maxed out. -- MisterJames (talk) 11:52, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
- Honestly, I don't consider LaL canon, for one there isn't enough evidence it ever happened in the universe. It wasn't brought up again, but then does that consider Yogi's Gang non-canon, since it was never brought up again? No, it doesn't. But the main problem is it was never really mentioned after the series (and comics) the universe just resets all the time in HB. So it's makes it hard to determine if it actually ever happened. Mumbly appears as a friend of Dynomutt's in one of his episodes, but then he's the enemy of Dynomutt here? That doesn't make much sense, but I guess copyright got the best of Mumbly and turned him evil like Muttley, I think Mumbly was always villainous, although being a law enforcement, he still acts like Muttley in some ways, he snickers when something bad is happening to others. SCOOB! kinda gave us a hint of what LaL might actually be, an arcade game Scooby, Shaggy and Dum were playing that had the fictional characters. But that doesn't exactly explain how Yogi and Boo Boo exist in their reality, it could actually be noted they never mention LaL in that Team-Up comic. I'm sticking with the characters do exist in universe, but are famous actors in television shows within the universe theory. But in the end, it's probably wise to add their LaL pictures (especially when it comes to Snagglepuss and Mildew because they wear more clothing than just a vest). -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 07:23, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
- I'll message you on discord for the site with higher quality season one episodes (it doesn't have higher quality season two episodes unfortunately). -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 07:31, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
- I found out on this site someone uploaded every episode (including season 2 episodes) in high quality and the best part is, it's a safer site with no annoying ads. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 00:36, 20 February 2021 (UTC)
- Since we're not deeming LaL canon, I went ahead and added Scooby's (and others) pictures. LaL seems to not belong to Scooby or Yogi when it comes to who owns the show, the comics showed us Yogi was mainstream, but the series had very little to do with him throughout each episode. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 22:59, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
- The images for below the infoboxes aren't strictly for what isn't deemed canon, it's also for different style changes so that readers can see different looks. It's kind of similar to what they do on Memory Alpha (the Star Trek wiki), where they have the recent look of the character at the top, and then how they first looked at the bottom, but whee doing the opposite, and also just other looks as well. -- MisterJames (talk) 00:15, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
- I'll move them to their galleries under "outfits", if that's alright with you. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 00:46, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
- I think that's best. -- MisterJames (talk) 02:23, 23 February 2021 (UTC)

"Scooby-Dooby-Doo!"
One of Wally's quotes in his own show was "Scooby-Dooby-Doo!" (at least, it sounded like that to me) which is interesting because he was over six years before Scooby was made. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 23:20, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
Appearances section
So, I added the Appearances section. How does it look? (I feel I added it in a controversial area. LOL.) -- MisterJames (talk) 11:46, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
- It looks awesome. It'd definitely be useful in the future. BTW, I think Scooby appeared in every LaL episode, but I'd have to look back on that. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 15:19, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
- Oh, great! And, aw, I forgot that series! We should check that. If he did appear in every episode, I don't think he spoke in every episode. -- MisterJames (talk) 15:22, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
- He didn't speak in every episode, but I think he appeared in every. I remember seeing Shaggy was absent in some episodes like "France and Australia". Scooby-Dum was probably in every episode (I'm not sure why he appeared in every episode here while he was only in four episodes of The Scooby-Doo Show) -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 15:28, 15 March 2021 (UTC)

Birthday
Hanna-Barbera calendar issued to employees, retirees and selected fans every Christmas for years was the inclusion of various "birthdays" and related special days vis-à-vis the several characters from the 1982 calendar. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 00:44, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
- Really?! Can you get some source? Like a link or photo? -- MisterJames (talk) 00:46, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
- If you zoom in closely on the calendar pages you can actually see some of the characters' birthdays. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 00:52, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
- On my profile, I have every birthday listed. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 07:42, 1 April 2021 (UTC)

2017
Wikipedia clams he made a cameo in Wacky Races (2017), but all I found was Scrappy, any idea of where he might have appeared? (if he even did) -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 17:07, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
Yogi's Gang
Scooby and Bristlehound were originally going to appear on Yogi's Gang[1], but both never made into the final show, although interestingly enough, Lambsy was in the Ark Lark film. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 05:35, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
- That's an amazing find. -- MisterJames (talk) 07:05, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
- Yeah it is, lol. That guy has a lot of amazing HB stuff he post on flickr, I just looked closer and found Scoots (of the Chattanooga Cats), so I guess we were going to see the Chattanooga Cats and some of their co-stars originally. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 07:57, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
"X" sells out
That's a great section, could it imply to say Yogi, Space Ghost or Jabberjaw as well? -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 07:24, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks. And, of course. It's for any commercial and any guest appearance in something Hanna-Barbera and Warner Bros. allowed. So, Yogi appearing in another HB short is okay, and Mystery Inc. appearing in Dynomut is okay, but Yogi selling out is him appearing in Animaniacs and Space Jam 2. Possibly commercials that HB did themselves too, like when they did no smoking PSAs for Yogi, and the cigarette and cereals commercials for Flintstones. -- Signed by James (talk) 07:34, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
- Yeah, lol I remember those commercials. -- Snoopy The Dog (talk) 07:36, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
Scooby-Doo and Shaggy in The Official BBC Children in Need Medley 2009
Hey James, did you know that Scooby-Doo and Shaggy appear in the music video for The Official BBC Children in Need Medley in which both Frank Welker and Casey Kasem provide vocals on the song in their respective roles of Scooby-Doo and Shaggy Rogers, particularly during the "Don't Stop" by Fleetwood Mac section of the song.
In the music video, which is a parody of charity music videos such as Band Aid's "Do They Know It's Christmas" or USA For Africa's "We Are The World" in which a group of performers gather in a recording studio to perform the song, Scooby-Doo and Shaggy appear 'Live via Satellite' as they are cartoon characters in the puppet world and thus can't appear 'in person'.
Here it is: https://scoobydoo.fandom.com/wiki/The_Official_BBC_Children_in_Need_Medley
Here's the music video of that on YouTube also: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_O-8nBRXRGw
Also, every performers on that song are the character's original voice actors including Ringo Starr as Thomas the Tank Engine, Bernard Cribbins as The Wombles and Ken Barrie as Postman Pat, although the only exceptions are Scooby-Doo as Don Messick died in 1997, and Paddington Bear, whose original voice actor Michael Hordern died in 1995.
What are your thoughts about that anyway? --Michael (talk) 19:02, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
- It's cool, but I couldn't hear Shaggy's voice properly, so I found the whole thing pointless. -- Signed by James (talk) 20:32, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
- OK, but do you think that you might want to create a page for that or not? --Michael (talk) 02:20, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- Not sure. But I don't think so. -- Signed by James (talk) 02:50, 26 January 2023 (UTC)

Oliver & Company
I've never been too sure if this was really Scooby. https://disneymoviesandfacts.tumblr.com/post/38233137729/ratigan-from-the-great-mouse-detective-and-scooby -- Signed by James (talk) 06:22, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
- It's hard to tell if that photograph was supposed to be him, but it did made me chuckle to think that a there is a Scooby-Doo easter egg in a Disney movie, considering that Hanna-Barbera's output was totally different from them in terms of animation quality. --QuestJ65 (talk) 06:32, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
