Memorable quotes
Shaggy: Like, one thing's for sure, man. This guy's too short to be the Woodsman or the Fishman. He must have an accomplice.
Scooby: Or stilts.

Behind the scenes
- At the end of the closing credits, the title of the film is "Scooby-Doo: Camp Scare!"
- The film is a parody of the R-rated Friday the 13th slasher film series. As an allusion, a calendar at one of the cabins shows Friday the 13th.
- Unlike the opening sequence for Scooby-Doo! Abracadabra-Doo, the sequence for this film has nothing to do with what's happening in the film. The talking moose wearing spectacles is especially confusing.
- When the situation does not involve a monster, Shaggy and Scooby show brave attitudes, as their attempt to save Jessica from falling and Scooby catching Boretti.
- Daphne's skin is much more golden in this film as if she's had a tan.
Errors
- Despite the sign of the Camp City Museum, Velma reads "Camp City Historical Museum."
- When the gang is explaining how Boretti was Deacon, Deacon was sitting on a bench waiting for the Camp Little Moose bus to come and pick him up. When the bus arrives there are four campers on the bus when only Trudy and Luke could be.
