Sawtooth, also spelt Saw Tooth, is an anthropomorphic beaver and companion to Rufus Ruffcut, the driver of the Buzz Wagon (designated #10). He is a main character in the Wacky Races animated franchise. In "The Wrong Lumber Race," his voice is provided by Paul Winchell.
In DC Comics' Wacky Raceland reboot series, Sawtooth is reimagined as a human woman.
Character description
While not playing a major part in the Wacky Races cartoon itself, Sawtooth would be on Rufus's side for anything he may need, such as when he chopped down a tree for Rufus to use as a bat for a baseball game in "Hot Race at Chillicothe."
Gold Keys' comics based on the TV series give him more of a role, and also reveal him to be the smarter of the two.
