Wacky Raceland is an American sci-fi ongoing comic book series by DC Comics who published six issues in 2016. It is based on the 1968 Wacky Races television series.
Production
The series was inspired by the Mad Max film series, particularly Mad Max: Fury Road, which was released in 2015. That same year, Vertigo published a prequel limited series of the same name, featuring vehicle designs by Mark Sexton, who was hired by DC Comics to design similar-looking redesigns for the Wacky Races vehicles.[1]
At Wondercon 2016, DC shared in a panel that there would be a loose continuity between Wacky Raceland and Scooby Apocalypse, with the latter influencing the former's future technology.[2]
