Behind the scenes
- Mojo created the Rowdyruff Boys in "The Rowdyruff Boys." They also died in that episode, but Him brought them back in "The Boys Are Back in Town."
- Aside from non-speaking cameos via stock footage from "The Boys Are Back in Town," the Powerpuff Girls do not have any new scenes in this episode, thus technically making this the only episode where they do not truly appear (although there is also "West in Pieces," if their ancestors don't count).
- The Mayor has a banner that reads "Mayor '04," in reference to the year the episode aired.
- Mojo breaks the fourth wall by mentioning that he's been on six seasons of the show.
- Charlie Bean is a cameo of the art director Charlie Bean, who voices himself.
- Doctor Yost is named after character designer Carey Yost.
- Doctor Shank is a cameo of the art director Don Shank, who voices himself.
