"Balloon Buffoon" is the ninth episode of Wally Gator season two, and the thirty-fifth overall, which came as part of The Hanna-Barbera New Cartoon Series. It aired on April 29, 1963 in syndication. It was produced and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the founders of Hanna-Barbera.

Wally escapes from the zoo using a bundle of balloons to fly out, however, things take a change for the worst when he unintentionally terrorizes the city and is mistaken for a UFO.
