Scooby-Dum is a talking anthropomorphic dog, and the cousin of the Great Dane Scooby-Doo, who was introduced in the television series The Scooby-Doo Show as a short-lived recurring guest. In spite of this, he was favored enough to be included in the cast (as a member of the Scooby Doobies) of the Laff-A-Lympics spin-off. He is voiced by Daws Butler.

Behind the scenes

In popular culture

  • In the Robot Chicken skit "Laff-A-Munich" segment of the episode "Ban on the Fun", Scooby-Dum appears for a second on screen before being blown up. Dum is voiced by Seth Green in this parody.
  • In "Wanderers v Pedagogues," an episode of the BBC Two quiz show Only Connect, host Victoria Coren Mitchell begins by saying, "Good evening. Much of the key work debunking supernatural myths was carried out in the 1970s by American paranormalogists Norville Rogers, Frederick Jones, Daphne Blake, and Velma Dinkley. And if you didn't get that reference, then shame on you, Only Connect fans. You probably preferred the ones with Scooby-Dum and Scrappy-Doo."
