Birdman is an American animated superhero action series of segments as part of Birdman and the Galaxy Trio, produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions for NBC's Saturday morning programming. It ran from 1967 to 1968, airing 20 episodes that spanned one season. It led to the whimsical Adult Swim spin-off, Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law in the 2000s.

The entire series has been released on DVD.

Legacy

Birdman took a comedic turn in the late 1990s, when Cartoon Network aired the act break short "Coffee Break," and then doubled their efforts with the Adult Swim sequel/spin-off spoof series Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law, from 2000 to 2007. In 2018, it was brought back for the one-off special, Harvey Birdman: Attorney General. Then astonishingly in 2020, Adult Swim launched the second spin-off, Birdgirl.

Birdman was also a guest star in several episodes of Space Ghost Coast to Coast, as an associate of fellow superhero Space Ghost.
