"Coffee Break" is an interstitial played during Cartoon Network's commercials during the late 1990s. It was written by Casper Kelly. It is presented as an episode of the 1960s Birdman television series, although in the form of a parody, and may have inspired the Birdman spin-off Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law on Adult Swim.
Birdman asks his bird to get him some coffee. What could possibly go wrong?
Detailed summary
Birdman receives a call from Falcon 7 informing him of an armored car being ambushed, but before he reveals what the armored car is carrying, he notices that Avenger is sitting dangerously close to the doomsday button. Birdman is not worried and insists that he's completely trained, and proceeds to ask Avenger to get him a coffee by pressing a button next to the doomsday button. Falcon 7 urges him not to do it, but Avenger proves successful until he immediately presses the doomsday button afterward.
