Azrael is the secondary villain in the animated TV series The Smurfs, being the pet of the main antagonist Gargamel. He is voiced by Don Messick.

Character description

Azrael serves as Gargamel's companion in capturing the Smurfs. However, Azrael is typically wiser than Gargamel and often tells him about some flaws in his plans. He also tends to get get in the wizard's way, resulting in being treated cruelly by him. Sometimes, Azreal has been known to turn on Gargamel numerous times.
